Bring your documents

• If your car is gas powered, bring a smog certificate

• Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection - ENTRY SUMMARY

• If you used a transportation service, bring the Department of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection ENTRY/IMMEDIATE DELIVERY certificate

• The original title

• Your registration card from the country of last registration

• CA Insurance Card

• Your driver's license or identification. CA or International is ok.

• If you owned your car for less than one year, bring vehicle purchase agreement showing how much sales tax was paid.

• If available, bring the Manufacturer's confirmation of compliance with all applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety, Bumper, and Theft Prevention Standards and US-EPA emission requirements. It might also be called a Certificate of Conformity.
